An online alarm is convenient, but it has limits. Please read this.

General information

The tools on Vclock are provided for general use only. We try to keep them accurate and working, but we cannot guarantee that they are always available, error free or suitable for every purpose.

Alarms and timers may not ring

An online alarm or timer needs your browser to keep running. It may fail to ring if:

  • The tab or the browser is closed.
  • The phone or computer goes to sleep, or battery saver pauses the page.
  • The volume is low, muted or the device is in silent mode.
  • The browser blocks sound until you interact with the page.
  • Your internet connection drops while the page is first loading.

Do not use it alone for critical needs

Do not rely on Vclock as your only reminder for anything where a missed alert could cause harm or loss, such as medication, flights, exams, work shifts or safety checks. Please also use your phone built-in alarm or another dependable device as a backup.

Time accuracy

The time shown comes from your device clock, and city times are calculated from your browser time zone data. If your device clock or time zone is wrong, the times shown will be wrong too. Daylight saving changes are handled by your browser and may differ from official sources.

No professional advice

Suggested timer durations and tips on this site, for example for cooking, studying, workouts or naps, are general ideas and are not medical, health or professional advice.
