Vclock is built to work without accounts. This page explains what is stored and why.

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Vclock (vclocklive.pages.dev) handles information when you use the alarm clock, timer, stopwatch and other tools on this website. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or location to use the tools.

Information stored on your device

The tools run in your web browser. To work properly, the site saves a small amount of data in your browser storage (localStorage). This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. It includes:

  • Your alarms: time, label, repeat days and whether each alarm is on or off.
  • A running timer: its end time, so it can continue if you refresh the page.
  • Your preferences: light or dark mode and 12 hour or 24 hour time.

You can delete alarms inside the app at any time, or clear this data from your browser settings (site data or storage).

Browser permissions

Some features ask your browser for permission. All of them are optional.

  • Notifications: used only to show a message when an alarm or timer finishes, if you allow it.
  • Screen wake lock: used only when you tap Keep screen on, so the screen does not turn off.
  • Sound and vibration: used to play the alert when an alarm or timer ends.

Your device time and time zone are read from your browser to show the correct time. We do not use your camera, microphone or precise location.

Hosting and technical logs

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most hosting services, the host may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver, secure and protect the site. Please see the Cloudflare privacy policy for details on how it handles this data.

Cookies

Vclock itself does not set cookies. Our hosting provider may use technical cookies for security and performance.

Analytics and advertising

At the time of writing, Vclock does not use analytics or advertising services. If this changes, we will update this policy and describe which services are used and what data they collect.

Children

Vclock is a general audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Our pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
